As a recovering manager for one of the millions of agencies that form a vast web of cradle-to-grave population control in the de facto world of “government”, I often look back on that decade and a half of my former life as the Dark Years. I was willingly imbedded in the fabric of the system, believing that I was helping people and that I was making a difference. I believed that the best intentions were always behind every process and every policy, even if the results sometimes ended up being disastrous. The brutal but beautiful clarity of the covid era destroyed every one of those illusions.
In early 2021 after a year of almost universal “work from home” mandates, the administrative gods of the executive branch decreed that as people were slowly allowed to return to their offices, every communal office space in every agency and department across the State would now be limited to a single occupant at any given time. Each muzzled slave would be fully isolated, only allowed to converse with coworkers on the telephone; absolutely no in-person contact would be tolerated. In a dystopian spin that would make Orwell proud, these large offices (formerly housing eight friendly coworkers, a shared coffee maker and mini fridge) became cells of solitary confinement and they were to be renamed “neighborhoods”. Additionally, every agency and bureau was expected to submit a blueprint of these new “neighborhoods” to the powers(psychos)-that-be to demonstrate their compliance with the new plan.
This doublespeak coming from the top down made my blood run cold as I recognized it for what it was, and I felt afraid for the very first time. Believe it or not, this was my first real inkling that criminally insane people were running the show, and that their motives were not benign. I had previously believed that rationality and reason would eventually prevail, that people would slowly recognize that an unfoundated and irrational belief that all humanity is diseased and potential spreaders of death is actually a mental illness. Things would return to normal with a sheepish shrug from the controllers, a mumbled “yeah, well, it seemed to make sense at the time, we didn’t know better….sorry!” I now realized that this was not going to happen. The use of deceptive language to paint a friendly picture on a pathologically inhuman condition that resembled solitary confinement was a clear sign that this was premeditated, permanent, and what was in the cards could only be an escalated march toward tyranny.
In retrospect, I now realize that there have always been signs. Some of them haven’t even been subtle; I just didn’t see them. Diversity is a big one.
What is Diversity? At the deepest level, it’s acceptance of and respect for the Other and an appreciation that everyone is a unique individual with unique contributions. To me, this is a universal human need. Don’t we all yearn to be fully accepted for who we authentically are? Don’t all of us, at some level, hate every mask that we’ve had to don through the years to hide those parts of ourselves that others might take offense to? Isn’t this the unconscious root of the archetypal battle that’s been playing out on the world stage between those who insist on hiding behind masks and those who reject them? Those who demand them are those who are the most in denial of the deepest parts of themselves, who are afraid to be themselves, and who cling to group identity rather than sovereign individual identity. It is in this massive identification with the group by way of thinking that true diversity is eliminated, and this way of thinking has been manufactured through deliberate social conditioning.
These are the people who work for “the state”. The conformers. And every job interview for a state position must include a question about “diversity”. You will not be hired without demonstration of your adherence to the groupthink belief in the importance of superficial characteristics and virtue signalling acceptance thereof. Endless hours are spent on committees looking for ways to prove that the organization is open minded and accepting of diversity; mission statements, slogans and buzzwords are developed and implemented, and demonstrated self-righteous policy enforcers are asked to give blessings. At the end of the day, it is nothing more than a ritual of virtue signalling. Every single man, woman and child can be dehumanized through categoricization and “identification” with some label; this creates a silent hostility because it is polarizing. Majorities feel guilty for being born, minorities feel targeted and misunderstood, everyone walks on eggshells and any possibility of authenticity in the organization dies on the vine. You cannot have an authentic mission being carried out by inauthentic people.
Five or six years ago, we hired Robert, a promising young individual, for a new community-based position. I say young individual rather than young man because although Robert presented as a very articulate and well-groomed man, Robert identified completely with pleural pronouns; we, they and them. Robert was incredibly protective of Robert’s pleural pronouns to the point of where awareness of the existance of these pronouns completely eclipsed all other awareness….including awareness of the work that Robert had been hired to do, and the contribution that Robert was making to the organization. Any staff who had to interact with Robert on any level had to focus entirely upon wanting to make sure not to offend or disrespect Robert or Robert’s pronouns in any way, and whatever work was being done was secondary or nonexistent.
The entire situation was a tragedy, in my mind. Long after Robert moved on, I wondered at what kind of life would produce someone whose entire focus revolved around what pronouns they identified with and making sure that others respected that focus. Robert was a person with dreams, and experiences, and a history, but no one in the organization was ever allowed to care enough to find out about any of that. Robert, in his own mind, had reduced his entire self to the totality of being pleural pronouns, and that was exactly the level of authenticity that he received back from the world. This is a sad denial of what it means to be human.
Humans are not one-dimensional, yet the perception of “diversity” is exactly that. It’s a manufactured limitation, and people really need to recognize it for what it is…and stop participating in it.
Diversity is fine for those who deal in fantasy, fairy tale land. The entire covid hoax debacle aforementioned by you was only possible due the mis-education from public school. The schools taught the now adult population to trust society, trust them. They did and got what my people got in the Tuskegee Experiment. We knew better. Never masked, never did anything, we just sat back and observed the peoples mental illness and helpless weakness on display. Diversity is for the serfs, the deviants, evil stays segregated with like foreign minds. "By their hoof prints you shall know them."
